It’s Not Too Late to Enjoy Your Backyard Landscape

Family playing football

Fall is in full swing, but the cooler temps and shorter days don’t mean your backyard is out of commission! There are plenty of activities that you can do to enjoy your backyard landscape and/or patio before winter. Grab your beanies and knit gloves, layer up, and take a look at some of our ideas!

  1. Host a bonfire. The great thing about fall is that it’s not completely freezing out, which means you can remain pretty comfortable around a fire pit (dressed appropriately, of course). Bring ingredients for s’mores and some sticks for cooking marshmallows, and you’re all set!
  2. Make dinner (or lunch) on the BBQ. It doesn’t have to be 90 degrees outside to use the grill! Bundle up a little and cook your favorite meal. It’s probably too cold to eat outside, but you can always bring the food inside to eat!
  3. Play a game of Football. Grab your family and/or friends and head out to your back lawn for a fun game of Football, Soccer, or anything you prefer. Dress warmly, and you’ll have just as much fun as you would if it were warmer out!
  4. Go backyard camping. Pitch a tent, grab your sleeping bags, and pretend you’re in the middle of nowhere. This is a fun way to enjoy the great outdoors, but if it gets too cold, your cozy house is just a few steps away.
