Executive Team

  • John M. DeLisle

    President/Founder

    John started Grasshopper Gardens in late 1992 early 1993. He lives in the town of Northumberland with his beautiful wife Kiersten, and their three children Cade, Chase and Peyton. During his free time John enjoys being with his family and many outdoor activities. His many favorite pastimes include landscaping and gardening at his home, horseback riding, hiking, hunting and fishing. His passion at Grasshopper Gardens is building a team with a culture that thrives on exceeding client expectations regularly!

  • Jamie Farnsworth

    CFO

    Jamie has worked at Grasshopper Gardens, Inc. since 1993. Jamie has been instrumental in helping to develop the structure and culture within the company. She lives in the Town of Moreau with her husband, two children and miniature Schnauzer. She enjoys spending her free time with her family.

  • Rodney Woodard

    COO

    Rodney has 20 years of experience in the landscape industry. His dedication and passion for his position has been proven through the years of consistent growth and success. The key element to his success is customer service and satisfaction and understanding the needs of each of his customers. Rodney married his high school sweetheart, Stephanie, and has been happily married for 20 years and has 2 wonderful teenage daughters, Hannah and Emily.

  • Jeremy DeLisle

    Sales/Marketing/Lawn Care Division Manager

    Jeremy began working at Grasshopper Gardens while in Junior High and has worked in all divisions of the company through the years. He has been managing the Lawn Care and Sales Team for the past 16 years. Jeremy has an AS in business management from SUNY Adirondack. Jeremy lives in the Town of Northumberland with his amazing wife Ashley and their three children Alayna, Ashlyn and Ian. He enjoys spending time with his wife, three children and two shih tzus.

  • Christy Roselle

    Office Manager/Head of Scheduling/Customer Care Department

    Joined the Grasshopper family in 2016. Christy works closely with the production managers to provide efficient scheduling and quality control to make sure our customers’ expectations are met. Enjoys spending time with her finance Eric and her son Jacob, and their 3 dogs.

  • Patrick Mannix

    Marketing Director

    Pat joined the Grasshopper family in February 2021 as our Marketing Director. His background includes 35 years of Commercial Printing Sales and Management. Pat works closely with the Sales Team, creating print and digital campaigns towards new customer development. He enjoys everything outdoors with his wife, family and 2 Awesome Grand Children.

  • Jackie Walkup

    Office Assistant

    I have worked for Grasshopper Gardens since March 2020. As a part time Office Assistant, I answer the telephone and assist in the accounting department. I love talking to the customers. I live in Northumberland with my husband. We enjoy visiting our family/grandchildren. In my spare time I like to read and sew and having fun with my grandchildren.

  • Amy Quinn

    Accounts Payable

    Amy is responsible for bookkeeping, accounts payable and irrigation scheduling and billing. Amy lives on a horse farm in Schuylerville with her husband, Shawn and their four children. She enjoys traveling throughout the country with her family, cheering them on while they compete in rodeos.

  • Barbara Powhida

    Accounts Payable/Equipment Maintenance Administrator

    Barbara joined the Grasshopper family in 2013. Barbara has been conducive in maintaining equipment records, scheduling equipment services, and ordering parts. Barbara’s goal is to keep all equipment in excellent working condition. Outside of work Barbara enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and a challenging workout!

  • Sara Farnsworth

    Fertilization Scheduler/Customer Care

    I have worked with Grasshopper Gardens Inc since February 2019 and have enjoyed my time learning the ins and outs of all the different services Grasshopper has to offer. I live in the town of Schuylerville with my Fiance and 3 beautiful children, Cooper, Adilynn and Teagan . We love spending time outdoors, by the water, playing games in the yard & camping. I am extremely happy to be part of a family-owned business and feel my time is much more valued here than any other job I have come across thus far.

  • Makenzie Ellis

    Fertilization Scheduler/Customer Care

    Makenzie joined the Grasshopper family in November 2020. She resides in Saratoga and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts Management from SUNY Purchase. Prior to working at Grasshopper, Makenzie worked in the Performing Arts field. She enjoys spending her free time doing things with family.

  • Sabrina Hilleboe

    Accounts Receivable

    Sabrina joined the Grasshopper family in 2017. Sabrina is the manager of the accounts receivable department. Outside of work she enjoys watching her kids play sports, traveling, playing cards, camping, hanging out with her family, and just enjoying life.

  • Parker Crossley

    Landscape Design/Sales

    Parker has been with Grasshopper Gardens since 2011 and has become our lead landscape designer. His background derives from 17 years of experience with interior kitchen and bath design and has extended his designs to outdoor living spaces. He specializes in the use of natural forms of hardscape to enhance your patio design and general landscaping. Designing outdoor areas as an extension of your home, his enthusiasm, creativity, and attention to detail, will provide any Grasshopper Gardens client a beautiful outdoor living space.

  • Stew Leonard

    Sales & Service Advisor

    Stew Leonard joined Grasshopper Gardens in February, 2020. He currently assists in the sales team effort. Stew lives in the Town of Moreau with his wife Mary and three cats, Polly, Maisie, and Boo. He enjoys working on landscaping projects at his home, and looks forward to spending time outdoors at the lake or with his wife and four grandchildren.

  • David Schofield

    Sales Manager

    David joined the Grasshopper family in 2010. David started out working in the field and worked his way up into the sales manager position. David lives in Fort Edward with his beautiful daughter and loves kayaking, DIY projects, gaming with friends, and overcoming obstacles to improve your property!

  • Tricia Tanner

    Service Advisor

    Tricia joined the Grasshopper team in March 2021 as a Landscape Service Advisor. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from SUNY Cobleskill along with 16 years of sales experience. Outside of work, Tricia enjoys camping and hiking the High Peaks with her Husband Josh and 2 children, Ira and Ashleigh.

  • Ray Tennant Jr.

    Lead Landscape Estimator/Drafter

    Ray joined the Grasshopper family in 2012. Ray started out working in the field and worked his way up to an estimator position. Ray lives in Corinth and loves spending quality time with his family and friends.

  • Scott Latterell

    Bed Maintenance Production

    Scott is a native of Hudson Falls that started with Grasshopper Gardens in June 2011. He worked his first 5 years in the mowing and Fertilization departments. His hard work and dedication promoted him to become our Bed Maintenance Production Supervisor. He enjoys time with his Family and coaching youth sports.

  • Bobbie Brooking

    Nursery

    Bobbie joined the Grasshopper Team in 2017 as Nursery Supervisor. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Empire State College and previously worked as a Floral Designer for 9 years. Bobbie enjoys every thing out doors from Kayaking and Bicycling to gardening and Foraging.

  • Rich Rouse

    Mowing Division

    Rich started his career in 2009 as a laborer for 9 years. His hard work, dedication and desire for improvement earned him the position of Mowing Division Supervisor. Rich is proud to say that Grasshopper Gardens has truly enhanced his life. Rich and his wife Ashley enjoy spending time outdoors with their children, camping, hiking and fishing

  • Robert Studnicky

    Construction Manager

    Bob has been with the company since late 2007 and was promoted to construction manager in the summer of 2010. He handles the day to day operations of our design build and landscape installation team. He, along with the construction team, look forward to the opportunity of turning your backyard into a paradise.

  • Dan Higgs

    Irrigation Services

    Dan has been on the Grasshopper Team for 8 years and working in the Landscape Industry for over 30 years. His knowledge and experience keeps our Irrigation Services running smooth and efficient. When not at work, Dan enjoys hiking, oil painting and gardening.
