It is noted for its red flowers, red fruit, quality fall color and good disease resistance. Best grown in medium moisture, well-drained, acidic loams in full sun. Best to prune in late winter and not in spring, or wait until flowering is done.

Trees that do not survive despite receiving the proper care, maintenance and protection within the first year will be considered for a one-time replacement.
