‘Bowhall’ Maple has an upright and pyramidal habit that is still an excellent choice for landscapes where space is limited. Red catkins in spring, fall colors are typically orange to red. A moderate grower that does best with irrigated or wet, acidic soils to avoid drought stress and chlorosis, especially in warmer regions like many other Red Maples.  It produces red samaras in late spring. The furrowed silver bark and brick red branches add an interesting dimension to the landscape.
